This course is your first step to becoming an accomplished make-up artist. Specifically designed for students who are interested in learning the foundations of make-up artistry, after just 5 days you will be able to work with private clients, provide bridal make-up, and begin a career in freelance fashion, catwalk, advertising and celebrity make-up.

You will receive intensive training in small groups from leading make-up artists.

This make-up class has been designed to accommodate all skill levels and is suitable for complete beginners with no prior experience. 

The Beginners Make-up Course costs £675 and includes:

LESSON ONE:
Getting started

• Tools of the Trade: an overview of a make-up artist's kit
• Hygiene
• Skin and skincare
• Identifying face structures
• Understanding skin tones, shades and undertones
• Colour theory and the colour wheel

LESSON TWO:
Mastering faces

• Application of foundations, powders and concealers
• Highlighting and contouring
• Blusher and bronzer application

LESSON THREE:
Mastering eyes

• Eyebrow shaping
• Working with eyelash curlers
• Mascara application
• Applying false eyelashes
• Eye liners
• Smokey eyes

LESSON FOUR:
Mastering lips & designing a make-up

• Lip liners
• Nude, Dark, Red lipstick colours
• Working on "dark" lips
• Altering lip shapes
• Designing a make-up look

LESSON FIVE:
Putting it all together

• Natural beauty
• Hollywood beauty
• Male grooming
• Over 40s Make-up
• Make-up for non-white skin
• Understanding the business of make-up
