Q : What is the minimum age to attend a course?
A : We recommend a minimum age of 18 but this is a guideline. If parental/guardian permission is given we will take from 16 years and over.  

Q : Do you have to have experience to enrol on your courses?
A : You do not require experience to enrol on the majority of our courses. However you do need experienc to enrol on our Advanced makeup courses and on some of our one day master classes. Q : Do you except overseas students?
A : We accept students from all over the world. It is important however that you have a good understanding of English to fully benefit from the classes.

Q : My English is not perfect, can I attend a course?
A : If you can read and understand the FAQ, you are welcome to enrol on a course.

Q : Do you offer Accommodation?
A : We do not offer accommodation but we can help you find Accommodation within London, call 020 8452 1133 or email admissions@thisismink.com.

Q : Do you offer work Experience?
A : On completion of any of our courses you will be added to the MINK database of artists. We regularly invite recent graduates to provide make-up assistance on various jobs that come through MINK agency. 

Q : After completing a course, can I get a job?
A : Yes, but except to work for no payment for the first few months to further develop your skills.

Q : Can I get a paid job after completing a course?
A : Yes, many students have immediately been offered a paid job following attendance on a MINK course.

Q : Do you receive a certificate after the course?
A : Yes you will receive a course completion certificate. But please note that our courses are not accredited. Accreditation is not required in the make-up industry and many of the biggest names in makeup do not even have formal makeup training. What is important is the quality of your portfolio.

Q : Can my company pay for my course fees?
A : Yes, we accept all established business to send their staff to us for training.

Q : What happens after I sign up?
A : You will receive a confirmation email and a receipt of your payment within a few minutes of signing up.

Q : How do I pay for a course?
A : We accept all major credit and debit cards, enrol online.

Q : Can I pay by cheque or Bank Transfer?

Q : Can I pay a deposit to reserve my place?

Q : When do I have to pay the remainder of my fees?
A : 21 days before the start date of your course.

Q : What happens if I forget to pay the remainder of my fees?
A : You will be put back to the next available course.

Q : If I still do not pay the remainder of my course fees when asked for the second time what will happen?
A : You will lose your deposit and will have to sign up again.

Q : Do you assist graduates once they have left the course?
A : We are always in touch with graduated students for as long as is natural to your career. We like to say we make friends with our students too so are always happy to help even after several years.

Q : How long before each course starts do you stop taking students?
A : As long as there are places available we will continue to take students.

Q : How do I go about registering for a course?
A: The easiest way to enrol on a course is online. However you can also contact our admissions team who will send you an enrolment form. Please complete and return the enrolment form along with your full payment for the course unless an instalment plan has been agreed in advance with the admissions team.

Q : What happens if I cannot attend all of the training sessions during a course of study?
A: Attendance and punctuality at MINK academy are recorded and monitored, and we require students to attend at least 80% of scheduled training sessions. If this requirement is not met, then the student affected will not receive a course completion certificate.
