The type of diet you follow has an impact on your skin. A diet high on fried and fatty food would lead to the outbreak of pimples.

Sun causes the maximum damage to your skin. The sun dehydrates your skin and causes freckles, marks, pigmentation, spots and wrinkles.
Skin that is in good condition always feels and looks supple. So our job is to put put lost moisture back into the skin where this is lacking e.g. dry or dehydrated skin, and to control oil production whilst also moisturising oily or combination skins.

Tips:

Cleans and moisturise with appropriate products for your skin type

Oily Skin: Use water based, oil free, fragrance free products, use astringents, don’t use oil-based creams or lotions, don’t use acne-medicated or abrasive cleansing pads

Dry Skin: Use rich, cream based, moisture-conditioning, dermatologically tested products. Don’t use astringents formulated for oily and combination skin, don’t use petroleum jelly, cocoa butter, mineral oil, or baby oil as a facial moisturiser.
Combination Skin: Stick to products formulated specifically for combination skin. Don’t use abrasive cosmetic tools over the entire face, especially in the winter months

Sensitive Skin: Be as gentle as possible with skin and use a thin cleansing lotion that’s hyperallergenic, allergy-tested, or fragrance-free.

Hyper pigmented skin: Hyper pigmentation is a darkening of the skin in patches or all over and is most often caused when skin has undergone some trauma that causes inflammation (acne, burns, chemical peels, laser treatments, sun overexposure). Best cleansers are those that exfoliate. Avoid cleaners that contain manual exfoliators like micro beads, salts, ground nuts as they can cause irritation which leads to more dark spots. Instead look for those containing glycolic acid, which do the job gently

Normal Skin: Go for an SPF-infused cream cleanser or a pack of disposable cleansing cloths for normal skin. Makeup sure cleanser leaves skin feel supple, not tight.

This is the first and most important step to flawless make-up application, preparing the skin for the make-up. So make sure that your skin is in tip top condition at all times.
